Early Opening for Masich Place Stadium
Prince George, B.C. – Good news for fitness buffs.
This year’s short winter has allowed the City of Prince George to open up the track at Masich Place Stadium to public use starting at dawn tomorrow – three weeks earlier than usual.
The gate at the stadium is opened at dawn and locked at dusk during the non-winter months.
The field, bleachers, and washroom facilities will not be available until later in the spring though a portable toilet will be provided in the meantime.
Public washrooms at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park and Duchess Park will open the first week of April while all other City fields will open May 1 or possibly earlier depending on the weather.
The possible lone exception is the road leading up to Connaught Hill Park. The City says this may stay closed to vehicles until later in the spring due to scheduled road stabilization operations.
