Prince George, B.C. – From kids books to classics, book worms will want to make their way to the Bob Harkins branch of the Prince George Public Library this weekend.
This as Friends of the Prince George Public Library hold their annual spring book sale.
“I’m thinking we probably have 20 tables of books at least,” says president Margaret Johnston.
“All different kinds, lots of pocket books, non-fiction, mysteries and loads of children’s books.”
She says all book purchases are by donation with all proceeds going back to the library for things like the kids summer reading program.
“We usually provide the funding so whatever the program is, a gift at the end of it for the number of books the kid has read. We’ve also contributed to the Knowledge Garden outside.”
Johnston says the sale will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and again from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow.
“Come on down and get your summer reading materials. There’s a great selection here.”
