Prince George, B.C.- Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the  northeast and south east areas of the  Bulkley Valley and the Lakes region, including Smithers and Burns Lake.

Strong winds are forecast for Monday afternoon. through  those areas, gusting to 70kms/hour.

Although there is now special weather statement for Prince George,  that system is expected to cause wind gusts of up to 60 km/hour tomorrow .

The high winds  could  mean power outages .   Environment Canada says it will  issue  wind warnings if necessary   tomorrow  as the Pacific low pressure system  moves  across the province.
