Prince George, B.C. – Prince George Fire Rescue was thrust into action tonight.
Firefighters were called out to a fire at Northwest Wood Treaters on Willow Cale Forest Service Road at around 7:30 p.m.
Upon arrival fire crews found a boiler room with flames coming from the roof area.
“Employees were protecting exposures with an onsite fire hose,” says Assistant Chief Denis Poulin. “A quick attack from fire crews knocked down the fire with contents valued over half a million.”
He estimates damages at around $85,000 and says the cause of the fire was accidental. There are no reported injuries.
