Spruce Kings Hire Howse as Assistant Coach
Prince George, B.C.- The Prince George Spruce Kings have announced Ryan Howse has signed on as Assistant Coach .
Howse will work with Head Coach Chad van Diemen and Associate Coach Adam Maglio on the coaching staff.
From Prince George, Howse has worked as a scout for the SPruce Kings over the past year.
His personal hockey experience includes playing minor hockey in P.G., the Chilliwack Bruins of the WHL, and being drafted in 2009 by the Calgary Flames.
He has been coaching minor hockey including the past season where he led the Prince George Midget Tier 1 Cougars to 7 tournament wins, culminating with a win at the British Columbia Provincial Midget Tier 1 Championships.
Ryan brings a lot of knowledge and playing experience to our hockey club. He’s not far removed from playing the game and he has been very successful in his first couple years of coaching minor hockey. He has a great relationship with his players and he brings a lot of energy and passion to the rink every day. We think he is ready to make the jump to junior and believe he will make an immediate connection with our players” said Spruce Kings Head Coach Chad van Diemen.
