Honour for Tom Dielissen
Prince George, B.C.- Past President of the Fraser Fort George Museum Society, Tom Dielissen, will be honoured next month at Government House in Victoria.
He is to receive a BC Community Achievement Award which recognizes those who have made a significant contribution to their community either as volunteers or in the course of their work.
Dielissen has been involved with the Museum for more than two decades “His dedication to other organizations in the community is just as remarkable” says Museum CEO Tracy Cologheros ” He is the perfect recipient for this honour and a great ambassador for Prince George.”
Dielissen is one of 31 British Columbians who will receive the award this year. “All British Columbians are inspired by those who lead by example, lending their time and talents in their community,” said Premier Christy Clark. “Thank you to the 2016 recipients; your commitment and generosity make a real difference in people’s lives.”
The ceremony will take place on May 25th.
Each recipient will receive a certificate and a medallion designed by B.C. artist Robert Davidson.
