Wanted: CEO for NDIT…ASAP

Prince George, B.C.  – The search for a new CEO  for the Northern Development Initiative Trust is  officially underway.

CEO Janine North  announced in March that she intends to retire this fall,  and has committed to working with the Board to find her successor.

The Board  is now accepting  expressions of interest  from potential candidates.

Over the past ten and a half  years,  the  NDIT has  invested more than $140 million  in communities  throughout central and northern BC  attracting more than $1.2 billion  in investment to the region over  2,000 projects.

The Board says candidates for this position “must have significant senior-level executive experience ideally in a business development, economic development or finance related role.”  The Board also expects the  applicants to be  “a visionary and strategic thinker with a high level of business acumen and a strong understanding of the key factors that drive business success”

Other qualifications include:

  • having a collaborative leadership style
  • trusted leader able to generate enthusiasm and foster an environment where staff can thrive
  • exceptional communicator  with  straightforward style and a professional presence.

First most criteria IMO should be of the north as a long term resident. A sign of faith in money from the north staying in the north planning long term for the north.

Agree with Eagleone, hopefully they don’t hire someone looking to pad their resume for their journey to the golden ring.

I wonder which washed up Tory will be chosen .

    Quite likely someone from the USA will be chosen.
