Four in Custody In Connection with Shooting Investigation – Update

Friday, April 29, 2016 @ 3:11 PM

policecarnewPrince George, B.C.-  Four people are now in police custody  in connection with  an early morning shooting  which  sent one male to hospital.

The  shooting happened  just after midnight in the parking lot of an apartment block  in the  area of 17th and  Upland  in Prince George.

Three people were arrested at a residence on Giscome  Rd. early this afternoon. The fourth was arrested at around 3:00 p.m. without incident at a residence in College Heights.

“Our Major Crimes Section, in  partnership with North District RCMP Emergency response team,  executed a search warrant east of town” says Corporal Craig Douglass.  The arrests were made without incident and evidence was seized.

He says there may be others involved.  “This investigation is on going and we believe it was a targeted attack, and there is no danger to the public”

Exercising “an over abundance of caution” Cpl Douglass says the School District was notified of the pending  arrest in that area, and the school  opted for an “inside” day for students.  Cpl. Douglass says this is a “Rapidly moving investigation” .

At this time,  Police are not  identifying the gender of those in custody, nor are they releasing their ages.

Anyone with any information that may assist in this investigation is asked to contact PG RCMP .

Editor’s Note:

RCMP had  initially told 250News the arrest  occurred  in the community of Giscome.  The arrest actually happened  on Giscome Road in the Blackburn community.  The above version  reflects that correction

I just heard this was in Blackburn. Not in Giscome, and it was Blackburn School. Not Giscome School….C’mon 250news.

You are correct. I had specifically asked if the arrests happened in the COMMUNIY of Giscome, or on Giscome Road. Corporal Douglass assured me it was the Community. The confusion was his, not mine. I appreciate you raising the issue…. and have double checked to find Cpl Douglass made the error and have now corrected the story. Thank you

I realized it was not 250news fault when I saw it on every other news source after here. Corporal Douglas needs to know his region a little better, obviously. Thanks Elaine.

Fast work. Great job!

yes, regardless of the location they were arrested, well done.

I can’t wait to hear which four of our local well known to everyone scumbags got busted this time.
