Saturday, May 7, 2016 @ 6:53 AM

Prince George, B.C. – A dance is being held in Prince George tonight to raise money to support people in Ecuador who were affected by the devastating 7.8 earthquake that struck that South American country on April 16th.

The quake killed 659 people, injured 4,605 more, left over 29,000 homeless and 42 others missing.  It also destroyed 40 percent of the coast of Ecuador.

Dance For Hope is being held at the Black Donkey Café, 1085 3rd Avenue, from 8:30 pm to 1 am tonight.  Tickets are $15.  All of the money raised is going to the Canadian Red Cross to buy food, water, medical supplies, clothing and shelter materials for those affected.

Those wishing to donate money to this particular cause can do so by going to www.redcross.ca/projecthope

Tickets for tonight’s dance can be obtained by calling Karina at 778-281-0181.
