Prince George, B.C. – The deadline is fast approaching for submitting nominations for the “Unsung Heroes” awards presented by the three Prince George RCMP Victim Services units.

Individuals, groups or businesses that have volunteered a significant contribution and have influenced positive change in the community will be honoured at the Victims and Survivors of Crime Week Gala on June 2, 2016 at the Fore Bistro and Patio from 6-9pm.

Categories for the Nominations are:

1. Community sector
2. Business sector
3. Sports sector
4. Non-profit sector
5. Volunteer sector

The deadline for Nominations is May 24, 2016.  You can submit your nomination with the name and brief description of your nominee’s outstanding contribution via email to nkingsmith@pgnfc.com.

Victim Services units support victims of crime throughout the often harrowing events surrounding a tragedy or trauma by providing crisis intervention, emotional support and information about the criminal justice system.
