Prince George, B.C. – Canada has captured its second straight IIHF World Hockey Championship, defeating Finland 2-0 in the gold medal final in Russia.

Finland had won all nine of its previous games in the tournament, including a sound thumping of Canada in the preliminary round.

Earlier today host Russia won the bronze medal, defeating the U.S. 7-2.
