Legebokoff Appeal to be Heard Today
Vancouver, B.C. – The BC Court of Appeal will hear arguments today from legal Counsel for convicted killer Cody Alan Legebokoff in an effort to have his multiple murder convictions overturned.
The appeal is based on two issues which Legebokoff’s lawyers say represent a miscarriage of justice. One deals with the ruling on the change of venue application, the other claims a violation of Legebokoff’s right to be represented by Counsel of his choice throughout the proceedings.
Cody Alan Legebokoff was convicted of four counts of murder in the deaths of Loren Leslie, Jill Stuchenko, Natasha Lyn Montgomery and Cynthia Maas.
The appeal is to be heard by a panel of three Justices; Justice Richard Goepel, Justice S. David Frankel, and Justice Peter Willcock.
