Maddy Scott Poker Ride Goes Today
Vanderhoof, B.C. – Today marks exactly five years since 20 year old Madison Scott went missing from Hogsback Lake near Vanderhoof.
To mark the occasion, the annual ‘On the Trail to find Maddy Poker Ride’ will take place at the Blackwater Road/Hogsback Lake area near Vanderhoof.
Theresa Philips, a family friend of the Scott’s, says there are three separate ways to participate.
“There’s three separate trails, so the horses will never encounter ATV’s and the ATV’s will never encounter the walk. So the horseback ride is the first to leave at 10 a.m., second to leave is the ATV’s at 11 a.m. and last is the walkers at 12.”
She says there will also be prizes and lunch following the ride. More information can be found at madisonscott.ca.
Above all, Philips says it’s time they found Maddy.
“It’s time, five years is too long and somebody knows something and it’s time for them to step up to the plate and let us know.”
If you have any information about Madison’s disappearance you’re asked to call the Vanderhoof RCMP at 250-567-2222 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
