Quesnel, B.C.-The G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital has a couple of new pieces of equipment, thanks to the Hospital Auxiliary.
The G.R. Baker Hospital Auxiliary donated just under $37 thousand dollars to buy equipment that will be used in the emergency department and the Intensive Care Unit.
A mobile ceiling procedure light provides additional light for minor suturing or assessments.
The ventilator/bilevel positive airway pressure machine will help patients in ICU who have trouble breathing on their own. It is especially helpful for those who suffer with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and have had a sudden worsening of their symptoms which could last for several days.
