P.G. Relay for Life On Pace to Hold Top Spot
Prince George, B.C. – With $540 thousand dollars in donations received to date, the 2016 Prince George Relay for Life is on pace to hold its place as the top Relay for Life event in Canada.
At the end of the 24 hour relay held May 7th and 8th at Masich Place Stadium in Prince George, the relay had raised $505 thousand dollars, but the money has continued to come in.
“We are overwhelmed with the incredible support the Prince George Relay For Life receives,” said Aimee Cassie, Relay For Life coordinator. “This number, I believe, is reflective of the passion, dedication and determination that surround Relay For Life in Prince George. What a remarkable achievement to celebrate as we head into our 25th anniversary.”
The Prince George Relay for Life was the top fundraising Relay in Canada in 2014 when it raised $600 thousand dollars, last year it repeated that feat raising $520 thousand, an amount already surpassed by the 2016 event and donations will continue to be accepted until the end of August.
