Prince George, B.C.- A motor vehicle incident is responsible for a power outage that impacted hundreds of residents north of Chief Lake Road this morning.
Details on the crash are not yet available, but BC Hydro says the incident took place on Chief Lake Road, near the Raceway.
Power was out around 6 this morning, and while it has been restored to many customers, the repairs should have everyone back on line by about 11.

It was a pretty new looking Black F 350 that left the road and took out a hydro pole. Didn’t see any skid marks.
I wonder who thumbs down a statement of fact. I just wrote what I saw – no opinion, no comment. I also noticed the sky was blue, I noticed the fine volunteers of the Pilot Mtn fire hall got dragged out of bed to do traffic control – which thanks, much appreciated. Seems some people thumbs down based on who wrote, not what they wrote.
That’s some mighty fine driving right there….
Ski, I’ve noticed on this and other sites, some people are just plain negative, that’s the way they’re built, it’s a sad world for them. These volunteer crews are amazing, I for you and me and a lot of other people appreciate the solid work volunteers in our community do. They don’t have to, they just do. A selfless commitment to help others out in tough times.
