PG Couple Escapes Car Fire

Prince George, B.C. – A scary incident for a Prince George couple early this afternoon.

At around 12:45 p.m., the car they were driving in erupted into flames as it was turning left onto Highway 97 from 22nd Avenue.

The driver, who asked to remain anonymous, said smoke started billowing from the engine before turning to flames moments later.

He said he has no idea what caused the fire and figures the car is a complete write off.

Luckily the blaze was quickly extinguished by fire crews. There were no injuries.
