Prince George, B.C. – No injuries, but a BC Transit Handy Dart trip was cut short for the lone passenger and bus driver this afternoon.
Just before 2, the bus picked up a passenger in the Glenview Road area of the Hart.
Just a few blocks later, an engine fire started, sending smoke into the vehicle. The driver stopped the vehicle, and he and the lone passenger exited without incident.
It took only a few moments for Prince George Fire Rescue to arrive on scene and extinguish the flames. The cause of the fire in the engine compartment has not yet been determined.
