One In Custody, Faces Charges

policeidPrince George, B.C.- An 18 year old  is in custody and facing charges following the police recovery of a stolen vehicle.

Around 5 pm yesterday  an RCMP  officer spotted  a vehicle  believed to have been stolen from a hotel parking lot   on RecPlace drive  earlier in the day.

The officer followed the vehicle a short distance until it was parked on the 2100 block of Upland Street.  A lone male exited the vehicle.  The vehicle was found to be the stolen vehicle and the suspect, who provided a false name, was arrested.  The licence plate had also been stolen.

18 year old Donovan Roberts of  Prince George resident, was held overnight and has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Obstructing a Peace Officer
  • Fail to Comply with Probation
  • Personation with Intent

He was to make his first appearance in Provincial Court today.
