Prince George, B.C. – Fitness enthusiasts turned out to Veterans Plaza at City Hall this morning to participate in the first annual Summer Boost.
The event is a partnership between the City of Prince George and the YMCA of Northern B.C. and encourages a healthy lifestyle.
Participants took part in a Zumba class while kids had the chance to play in an outdoor play area.
“It’s an opportunity for everybody to come out and enjoy one hour of fitness,” said Diane Bilodeau, civic events coordinator with the City of Prince George. “It’s part of Celebrate Prince George – which takes place the month of July to get people out and be active and enjoy the beautiful summer day.”
The festival continues tomorrow with Downtown Summerfest from 11:00 – 5:00 p.m. in front of City Hall.
