Woman Charged in Stabbing Death

Fort St. James, B.C.- A 33 year old woman has been charged in connection with the death of a 31 year old Tl’azt’en Nation man.
In the early hours of July 17th, Fort St. James RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing on the Tlazt’en Reserve west of Ft. St. James.
A suspect was located and taken into police custody.
Provincial Crown Counsel has approved charges of 2nd degree murder against 33 year old Annie Jean Anatole. She has been remanded in custody until her next court appearance on August 15th.
This was an isolated incident where the two individuals knew each other and the public is not at risk.
Since this matter is now before the courts, no other information will be released.
