Prince George, B.C. – A motor vehicle collision at the corner of Highway 16 and Gauthier Road caused traffic chaos west of the city this morning.

As a result of the crash RCMP Corporal Craig Douglass says a tractor trailer unit collided with a power pole closing the highway in both directions.

The crash occurred at 5:30 a.m. An alternate route was made available but the highway has since reopened.

Douglass says police and other emergency services remain on scene. No other information is available at this time.

The 250 reconstruction team is on it’s way?

Yes – full team has been dispatched. A detailed report including commentary on “professional” drivers as well as stern rebuttals blaming four wheelers will be released shortly. Road lines and intersection design are also expected to take a hit. :-D

Well let’s see…driverless loader. Could that be it.
Couldn’t be the traffic lights cause there aren’t any.

I’m sure someone on bicycle must have played a part in this accident!

It wasn’t at the corner of Hwy 16 and Gauthier Road. It was in the driveway of that trucking company across from the old golf course. A truck was trying to back off Hwy 16 into the driveway. This isn’t the first time this has happened here.

    Thumbs down for the truth?

There is no logic for the thumbs up or thumbs down.
