Vanderhoof, B.C. – Some closure for a Vanderhoof family.
The North District RCMP says the body of a 25-year old man was recovered from Arthur Lake, about a 45 minute drive south of Vanderhoof, on Wednesday.
The discovery was made by Terrace and Vanderhoof Search and Rescue. This after the man drowned Sunday evening after the boat he was in capsized while out fishing with a friend.
Neither man was wearing a life jacket though one of the men managed to make it to shore and survive.
Corporal Dave Tyreman says no foul play is suspected and that the BC Coroner’s Service has taken over the investigation.
The deceased’s name has not been released.

My condolances to the family and friends of this young man, nice that they were able to find his body so there can be closure.
I think it is a good idea to get rid of the like / dislike feature on this site. The thumbs down on my above comment concerning the death of a young man shows the complete lack of decency and respect shown by some who visit this site!
I so very much agree with you.
