Prince George, B.C. – Police are asking for the public’s help as they search for those  responsible for the theft of youth sporting equipment.

This past Thursday Prince George RCMP received a report of a theft from a “C-Can” steal storage container in the 2900 block Griffiths Avenue.  The container is on the sports field next to Masich Place Stadium and just below Prince George Secondary School.  A long list of football equipment was stolen including:

·       Helmets

·       Footballs

·       Protective pads

·       First aid kits

·       Ice packs

·       Agility ladders

·       Coaching bags

·       Throwing net

·       Stationary supplies

Investigators believe the steal container was broken into sometime during the evening of Wednesday September 14th or early morning of Thursday September 15th.  They say the people responsible would have had to spend a considerable amount of time in the area.  Police are hoping witnesses come forward and provide information that may lead to the recovery of the equipment and the arrest of suspects.

Anyone with information about this theft is asked to call the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477, online at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca (English only), or Text-A-Tip to CRIMES (274637) using keyword “pgtips”.

way to go you scumbag losers. I’m sure if they are caught they will tell their sob story, and the community will be asked to ‘walked for youth awareness’ so we can feel sorry for these pieces of garbage.

I believe it is “Seacan” which is made of “Steel”

This type of equipment will be hard to get rid off…unless they throw it away..

If they are caught I suggest they are made to play football without any equipment against the football team fully equipped to teach them why the gear is so important.

I think we should skin them and hang them upside down from trees like trophies haha remember The Predator?

I like the “steal container””.. Didn’t know they made such a thing and that it was available to the public

Since there seems no reasonable reason anyone would want a bunch of used football gear I would look first to someone who has a beef with the organization.
