Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Quesnel – Update

Quesnel, B.C. – A Prince George man is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Quesnel last night.

Police say it happened at around 8:15 p.m. after the victim was reported as impeding traffic on Highway 97 South near Juniper Road.

“On scene attendance, investigators completed a scene examination and spoke to the driver involved along with other witnesses,” says Corporal Dan Moskaluk. “The pedestrian, a 20-year-old male, who was dressed in dark clothing, was immediately transported to hospital with serious life-threatening injuries. The man was pronounced deceased at the hospital.”

He says neither speed nor alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.The name of the deceased man has not been released.
