Library Entrance Project Back Before Council
Prince George, B.C. – A new entrance to the Prince George Public Library’s Bob Harkins Branch has been on the wish list for a number of years, and tonight, a new proposal will be presented to Council.
The existing entrances do not provide a safe access to the library, and only the one leading from the parkade is accessible for those with mobility issues.
Previous designs were developed and carried a price tag of $3.9 million dollars.
A new design has been developed and this one is estimated to cost just under $2.5 million which includes design, construction and a contingency.
While the new entrance to the library has been on the capital list as an unfunded item for some time, the new proposal will be brought forth for consideration of funding when it comes time to develop the 2017-2021 Capital plan.
