Hospice Home Lottery Looks for Final Push
Prince George, B.C. – Time is running out for your chance to win this year’s Prince George Hospice Home Lottery.
The draw for the 2,400-square foot home at 7630 Creekside Way in College Heights is this coming Thursday and there are still around 1,000 tickets left.
“Thanks to the community things have really ramped up quite a bit, but we’re still a long way from a sell out,” says executive director Donna Flood. “This last amount of tickets – that’s profit that we make. When you look at it, we are hoping to make $300,000 with a sell out. So, 1,000 tickets left on the table would cost us $100,000.”
She says all the profit they make allows them to continue to provide end of life care for people in Prince George.
“10 beds that we provide people with comfort and compassionate care at the end of their life,” says Flood. “But we also provide a lot of grief and bereavement care. We have a rainbow program that really supports children in our community who are suffering from a loss and this really helps them get back to normalizing their lives.”
Those interested in purchasing a ticket can do so at the dream home, at their office at 1506 Ferry Avenue or online by clicking here.
