Mounties Seize Drugs and Guns in Williams Lake
Williams Lake, B.C. – A man and a woman are facing numerous charges after police seized guns and drugs in Williams Lake.
North District Corporal Madonna Saunderson says the seizure follows the police execution of a search warrant in the 600 block of Carson Avenue yesterday.
She says the search yielded “11 firearms and multiple loaded magazines of various caliber.” Police also found an array of drugs believed to be cocaine, meth and marijuana along with a large sum of money believed to be crime related.
“The illicit sales of drugs and unauthorized possession of firearms are the priority of the detachment to enhance community safety,” says Inspector and Officer in Charge of the Williams Lake detachment Jeff Pelley.
“Individuals responsible for these actions will continue to be targeted by police and held fully accountable through the court system. This investigation is a testament to the police officers of these units who worked long vigorous shifts to make this investigation a success.”
The names of the suspects have not been released.
