Police Close Giscome Road

Prince George, B.C. – A well used road east of the city is currently closed.
Giscome Road has been closed since early this morning just past McLaren Road East.
Mounties have yet to address the situation. We’ll update you as soon as more information becomes available.

In some situations it is understandable that the RCMP doesn’t want to give out details, but it is rather odd that they wouldn’t say in a general way what they are doing, e.g. looking for a fugitive.
I think he is a wing nut and ready to keep commenting.
Has anyone given thought to the fact that it is the weekend, and their media officer is no doubt on days off? I’m sure they were busy with whatever was going on…
That’s a point, but do they really need a media officer to say what they are doing? Can’t whoever is in charge answer a question, or the duty officer at the detachment? Somebody must be holding the fort even on a weekend.
I see the great moderators of doh250 took the time to remove my insult but not the insult directed at me. Is this how you want your site to run? I can certainly play that game as well.
