Prince George B.C. – Mr. P.G. was all aglow in red over the weekend  and  for those  who missed it,  or those who wondered what was going on,  here is the explanation.On Saturday,  50 structures across the country were illuminated in red to mark the 50 days until  2017,  which marks the start of Canada’s 150th birthday celebrations.

From dusk on Saturday night until this morning,  Mr. P.G.  joined the likes of  Science World in Vancouver and the CN Tower in Toronto   as those  that were awash in a red glow.

The City of Prince George has not  yet unveiled all its plans to celebrate  the Canada’s milestone anniversary,  but the  Federal Government has  developed a list of events, including celebrations  in 19  major urban centres across the country on  New Year’s Eve  to  usher in the  special year.
