Reminder About Salmon River Bridge
Saturday, November 19, 2016 @ 6:59 AM
Prince George, B.C.- The Salmon River Bridge, about 27 kms north of Prince George on Highway 97, will be closed tonight from 10pm to 6am tomorrow morning.
As 250News reported earlier this week, the closure will allow the bridge to be moved to its detour location so construction of the new bridge can proceed.
Plans have been put in place to ensure emergency vehicles can get through should the need arise.
The new bridge is expected to be complete in the fall of 2017.
Comments
Actually, there is a plan to transport people across the bridge during the move, but NOT any kind of vehicle.
Police will be stationed on each side of the bridge and will be patrolling the residential areas in Salmon Valley and area.
