Prince George, B.C.-  The Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation  has reason to smile  today, as the  Punjabi Canadian Senior Society  has  handed over a very healthy cheque.

A cheque for $24,606 dollars has been delivered to the  Foundation to  go towards the purchase of a fleet of rehabilitation wheelchairs at the University Hospital of Northern B.C.

The dollars were raised through the  Punjabi Canadian Senior Society  Bike-a-Thon,  which,  over the years,  has raised  nearly $86 thousand dollars  for healthcare needs in the north.
