Salmon River Bridge Move Time Lapse

Prince George, B.C. – The movement of the Salmon River Bridge to its detour location was carried out in the dark of night on the weekend, and it came off without a hitch.
While the closure of the crossing from 10 Saturday night to 6 Sunday morning was a major inconvenience for those living north of the Salmon River, the movement of the bridge was required in order to continue construction of the new bridge that will take its place.
The Ministry of Transportation has provided a time lapse ‘move-ie’ of the work, which 250News is making available to our readers to see how the job was done:
