Safe Landing at YXS
Flight 3105 comes in for landing, while emergency crews standby – photo 250News
Prince George, B.C.- Some tense moments at the Prince George Airport this morning as WestJet flight 3105 was diverted to Prince George to make an emergency landing.
The flight left Vancouver at 8:16 this morning, and was scheduled to arrive in Terrace at 9:55 . Instead the flight was diverted to Prince George.
The problem was with the nose gear of the Q400 plane.
The Airport activated the Emergency Operations Centre, and its own emergency operations crew. In addition, Prince George City Fire Rescue as well as the Pineview Volunteer Fire department were on scene. BC Ambulance also responded in the event the landing turned tragic.
All is well.
The flight circled YXS for about 15 minutes. The flight landed safely.

It looks like they got the nose wheel down. Was the problem that they weren’t sure because the indicator read bad?
Apparently when they went to land in Terrace the Gear indication lights indicated the nose gear was not fully extended and the flight aborted and after some trouble shooting it was determined that this was an emergency and as PG is the closest airport with full Emergency services the flight was diverted to here and with emergency vehicles deployed on the runway they inspected the nose gear during a low slow pass and determined that it was fully extended and shortly there after the plane made a safe landing.
