Prince George, B.C.-  Highway 16 East is closed at  Upper Fraser  Road, east of  Prince George  because of a serious collision.

Emergency personnel are on scene.

North District RCMP  confirm,  one person has died .

The vehicles involved are a  semi tractor trailer and a pick up  truck.

There is no word yet on possible  injuries  to others,  or  contributing factors to the crash.

The road will be closed  for  several  hours as  a Traffic Analyst  examines the scene.
