Prince George, B.C. – Operation Red Nose delivered 74 safe rides this opening weekend in Prince George.

Spokesperson Andrea Johnson says the designated driving service provided 20 rides on Friday night and another 54 rides on Saturday.

She says that’s slightly below last year’s combined opening week total of 88 though she’s still pleased with how things turned out.

“We are very happy with how the weekend unfolded. Everyone who called us got a safe ride home since we had more than enough volunteers which included some new faces.”
