Final Two Days for Festival of Trees
Prince George, B.C. – The Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation’s 23rd annual Festival of Trees comes to a conclusion this weekend.
And a jam-packed weekend it is with the festival running from 9 am to 5 pm today at the Civic Centre, followed by the Dance and Dine Among the Pine featuring delicious food and live music beginning at 6 pm, another of the many events during the festival to raise funds for the healthcare foundation. Tickets are $65.
The final day of the festival, Sunday, kicks off with the Teddy Bear Breakfast from 8:30 am to 11 am. Tickets are $20. After enjoying that special breakfast you can stroll through the magical wonderland in the Civic Centre and view the decorated trees, displays and lights from 11 am to closing at 4:30 pm.
Admission is $10 for a family, $5 for adults, Seniors and Students $3.
Meanwhile, the Gala Fundraising Auction, the signature fundraising event of the festival, was held Friday night. Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation CEO Judy Neiser says that while the final total of monies raised has not been tallied yet, fund-an-item raised an all-time high of $200,000. Further information on the overall total including the highest bid tree will be released when available.
