Police Investigate Quesnel Shooting, Torched Vehicle
Quesnel, B.C. – Shots were fired into a home in Quesnel this morning.
Sgt. Chris Riddle says it happened at around 5:30 a.m. at a home on Allard Street.
He says a vehicle was found on fire on Skyline Drive shortly after police arrived adding they are still investigating whether there is a link between that vehicle and the shooting.
In the meantime, Riddle says both scenes have been secured and the Forensic Identification Section and Police Dog Services from Prince George have been called in to assist in the investigation.
“Luckily no one inside the home or in the neighbouring homes were injured,” he says. “We take this type of criminal act very seriously and have dedicated all available resources to investigate this disturbing incident.”
Riddle asks anyone with information to call police.
