Prince George ,B.C. – Starting tomorrow, and through to the 15th, riding on a bus in Prince George may only cost you a can of beans or maybe a package of pasta.
The annual Food for Fare program will start tomorrow on B.C. Transit buses in the city.
Instead of the regular fare, you can board by dropping a non perishable food item in a special collection box on the bus.
The food items collected over the course of the three days, will be donated to the Salvation Army Food Bank.
This is the 13th year for the program.
