Prince George, B.C. – It was the busiest weekend yet for Operation Red Nose.
Spokesperson Andrea Johnson says volunteers delivered a combined 200 safe rides home Friday and Saturday nights.
She says 69 of those rides were provided Friday and another 131 on Saturday. 141 rides were provided last weekend while 74 were delivered on opening weekend.
“So far after six nights, we have delivered 416 rides and traveled 11,925 kilometres,” says Johnson. “We’re back again this weekend, on Dec. 16 and 17.”
If you’d like to volunteer in time for New Year’s Eve, you can still do so if you get your application in by Dec. 19.
You can do that online at www.ornpg.ca. So far, 233 people have registered as volunteers.
