Prince George, B.C. -The Prince George RCMP are requesting the public’s help in locating a man with outstanding arrest warrants.

Jeffrey Wayne Smith is wanted for the following offences:

• Trafficking in a Controlled Substance
• Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (4 counts)

He is also wanted in Alberta for Assault.

These charges stem from drug trafficking investigations in December of last year  and  February of  2016.

On December 10^th, 2015, Smith was arrested by the Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit in a vehicle with a 29 year old adult male.  Heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine and a significant quantity of cash were located.  A Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was executed at a residence on the 4200 block of Quintin Avenue where more drugs and a replica handgun were located.  Smith was released on a Promise to Appear for court in late February 2016, but was arrested again before his court date.

On February 4^th, 2016, Prince George RCMP Street Crew members executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on the 500 block of Freeman Street in Prince George.  Smith and a 32 year old female were located and arrested in the residence.  A significant quantity of heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine were located in the residence, along with drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Smith was held in custody until April 2016 when he was released on a Recognizance. Warrants were issued in November & December 2016 after he failed to attend court.

Police are asking the public’s help in locating Jeffrey Wayne Smith.

He is described as:

• Caucasian male
• 178 cm (5’10”)
• 82 kg (181 lbs)
• Brown hair
• Green eyes

Prince George RCMP say  Smith should be considered  violent and should not be confronted.  If  located, immediately contact police.
