New Year Babies In Quesnel, Vanderhoof and Prince Rupert
Quesnel, B.C. – The first baby of 2017 in Quesnel is a girl.
Ava Bethany Boyd was born at GR Baker Memorial Hospital on January 1 at 11:40 p.m. local time, to Michelle and Jonathan Boyd of Quesnel – weighing in at eight pounds, three ounces. Ava is little sister to seven big brothers and sisters.
In Vanderhoof, the first little one of the new year arrived at 7:23 p.m on January 1st. The little boy’s parents are Kayla and Jordaine Weber of Fraser Lake – weighing in at six pounds, 15 ounces (3150 grams). He is also welcomed by big sister Emma.
And in Prince Rupert, the first 2017 baby is also a boy. Seven pound 11 ounce (3500 grams) Dallin was born at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital on January 1 at 11:06 a.m. local time, to mom Shayne Ward and dad Tyler Morrison of Prince Rupert .Dallin is also welcomed by big sister Aaliyah.
The first baby born in the Northern Health region ( a girl) was delivered at the University Hospital of Northern B.C. in Prince George, at 1:55 a.m. January 1, 2017. (See our previous story here ) .
The first baby born in British Columbia was delivered at BC Women’s Hospital as the clock struck 12:00 am ushering in the New Year.
