Prince George,  B.C. – Prince George Cougars General Manager Todd Harkins announced today that the Cougars have singed 2000-born forward Max Kryski (Kelowna, B.C.) to a Standard WHL Player Agreement.

Max Kryski (5’10”, 175 pounds) was added to the Cougars 50-man protected list in December, 2016. In 27 games played this season with the Okanagan Rockets (BCMML) he has recorded 18 goals while adding 23 assists for 41 points. He currently sits tied for sixth in league scoring. He’s also appeared in one game this season for the BCHL’s West Kelowna Warriors. During his final bantam season, Kryski managed six goals and nine assists for 15 points in 36 games with the Okanagan Hockey Academy’s White Prep team. His older brother Jake Kryski is a veteran of 181 WHL games with Kamloops, Kelowna and Calgary.

“We’ve been following Max’s progress very closely this season and to us it was a no-brainer to get him listed and signed as quickly as possible after seeing him put up huge numbers in the B.C. Major Midget League,” adds General Manager Todd Harkins. “Max reminds me a lot of Colby McAuley. He finishes every check, provides energy for his teammates and he’s got good finish around the net. He’s capable of big things and we’re very excited to have him and his family be a apart of the Prince George Cougars.”

Kryski is the third forward to sign a Standard Player Agreement this week joining 2001-born forward Edge Lambert (Tuesday) and Zach Bolton (yesterday). The Prince George Cougars return to action tomorrow night when they kick off their first and only three-game in three-night segment of this season. They’ll face the Red Deer Rebels tomorrow night followed by back-to-back games at Roger’s Place against the Edmonton Oil Kings on Saturday and Sunday.
