Suspicious Fire on 3rd Ave

Prince George, B.C. – Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a structure  fire in the 1000 block of Third Avenue tonight.

It broke out just before 9 p.m. in basement stairwell in a vacant apartment building.

Crews quickly doused the blaze. Luckily no one was injured though the fire has been deemed suspicious.

Damages are estimated at $20,000.

Wow, fire at 9:00 pm and a damage estimate by 11:35 pm. How did they get a contractor to come out so quick at that time of night to do a quote? I am impressed. Took me a week to get a guy to give me a quote for kitchen cabinets.
