Another 5-10 Centimeters of Snow Expected
Prince George, B.C.- Prince George received between 15 and 20 centimeters of snow overnight, and the snowfall warning remains in effect says Environment Canada Meteorologist Alyssa Charbonneau.“That band of snow is still sitting over Prince George, so the snowfall warning is still in effect, as there could be another 5 to 10 centimeters before it tapers off this afternoon.”
But then, the rest of the long weekend should be pretty good says Charbonneau. “The snow is expected to taper off to just a 30% chance of flurries this afternoon.. .Then that 30% overnight and into tomorrow, shouldn’t bring too much more accumulations. Then we have a ridge of high pressure building in. We’ll see some sun and the temperatures are rising above freezing.”
She says the forecast for Sunday looks pretty good, with some cloud, but milder temperatures “We’re looking at a high of plus of three.”
The band of snow has caused some delays in flights in and out of the Prince George Airport, as always, check with your airline before heading to the airport, and allow some extra travel time to the airport because of road conditions.

Geez what a bunch of melons! Why not just stay in the background and not obviously report the obvious! Man, I would like to know their wages.
“Environment Canada”? Wages? I’m sure that they are more than adequate, especially for a job where it’s acceptable to be wrong as often as you are right, haha!
Be fair Hart Guy. Their job also includes stating the obvious.
Man…it’s going to be messy in town next week with all the snow melt.
Amazing what a pair of sunglasses do for a day like today.
Takes the whiteout, out LOL.
