Huskies Hound Timberwolves
Prince George, N.C. = The UNBC Timberwolves basketball teams will close out their 2016-17 Canada West regular season this evening against the Saskatchewan Huskies.
Last night at the Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre the UNBC women’s team dropped a 72-65 loss to the Huskies. Vasiliki Louka led the home team with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Saskatchewan now has a 14-5 record while the Timberwolves are 6-13 on the season. The teams meet again at 5 this afternoon.
The Huskies scored a 30-point victory over the Timberwolves in the men’s game Friday night, 89-59. UNBC, now holding a record of 4 and 15, got an 18-point night from Rhys Elliott. The Huskies are now 14 and 6.
The two sides close out the regular season starting at 7 tonight.
