NDP Set Nomination Date in PG-Valemount
Prince George, B.C. – New Democrats are getting set to announce who their candidate will be in Prince George-Valemount.
Party spokesperson Jen Holmwood confirmed to 250News this week they be acclaiming their candidate on March 11.
However she did not confirm who the candidate is or where the meeting will take place.
The riding is currently held by long-time MLA and Jobs Minister Shirley Bond. Bond won the riding handily in the 2013 provincial election picking up 57 per cent of the vote. Her closest competitor was the NDP’s Sherry Ogasawara who received 36 per cent.
Earlier this week the NDP announced Bobby Deepak would be the party’s candidate in Prince George-Mackenzie (see previous story here).
New Democrats have yet to set a nomination date in Nechako-Lakes. British Columbians go to the polls May 9, 2017.
