What Was That ?
Prince George, B.C.- Emergency crews have been scouring the Otway Road area, trying to find the source of a noise, that made windows rattle on the north side of the Nechako River at around 8:40 this evening.
While one area resident tells 250News, the noise “reverberated for a long time”, emergency crews have yet to pin point the source of that noise.
Some have described it as a very loud rumble that lasted long time while others likened it to the sound of of a blast.
It is not uncommon for CN to shunt trains along the line that runs along Otway Road on the south side of the Nechako River, but area residents who are used to the sound of shunting trains says this noise, certainly wasn’t that.
Police, fire and ambulance all converged on the area, but have yet to identify a possible source for what some area residents say sounded like an explosion. At this point, there has been no word from emergency responders as to the possible cause .
