Prince Georg e, B.C. – A police incident at a home in the Hart has forced the evacuation of surrounding residents.

Prince Georg e RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass says early this morning police responded to an incident at a home in the 5900 block of Highway 97 in the Hart.

“Although the incident is not criminal in nature, a firearm is involved,” says Douglass. “Police do no believe the public is at risk; however surrounding residents have been evacuated as a precaution.”

He says further updates will be released as they become available.
