Prince George, B.C. – A heavy police presence – including the police dog unit – at Fairview Crescent and Westwood Drive early this afternoon.

Prince George RCMP Staff Sgt. Todd Cruch tells 250News police were called in to investigate a possible firearms offence.

He says they haven’t found any firearms yet but are in the process of filing the necessary paper work to execute a search warrant.

Cruch says the public is not at risk. We’ll have more details as soon as they become available.
